Digital strategy geek, London, UK. Email me, or read my blog.

Hi, I'm Guy. I'm a digital strategy geek available for freelance / permanent work, speaking, advising, and all that jazz.

My interests are based around getting people talking to each other and making people happier using web-enabled technologies. Stuff like:

  • online community building
  • user generated content, social media, and social networking
  • innovative entertainment: cross-media, viral, interactive, pervasive
  • user experience, from friendly design to customer support
  • blogs, podcasts and more as tools for customer relations and corporate transparency
  • education reform, open source, ethical business, etc

I cut my teeth at Mind Candy, managing community for the critically-acclaimed alternate reality game Perplex City, and then got into game designing for the kids virtual pet property Moshi Monsters, making some lifelong friends into the bargain. Since then, I've been working on a variety of projects with different folk, helping to create engaging and entertaining online experiences.

Other stuff

My talk about alternate reality games and how they're a form of rock'n'roll literature, combining play and storytelling to make an interactive, atmospheric but nonetheless authored event.

My talk on the music industry and how artists are the best placed people to take advantage of the challenges ahead.

Trying to do 101 things in 1001 days - there's a whole community of people trying the same thing here, if you're interested.

A collection of daftly captioned religious iconography, LOLgod, accounts for about 95% of my site traffic.

Psychopatch! Transdermal relief from conscience and moral anxiety, vital for any 21st century city-dweller.

And, of course, I'm on Facebook.
